Seedstock started out as a house party with a handful of local bands and a couple hundred friends hanging out on a Saturday in the summer of 2008. Over the years it grew into a 3-day festival with dozens of bands playing throughout the weekend. In 2020 and 2021 the festival was put on hold and is now getting back to its roots as a multi-day house party once again.
We offer a limited amount of tickets each year due to exceedingly higher demand and limited space. We highly encourage purchasing pre-sale tickets online (at a discount!) to ensure access. Any tickets still available by the date of the festival will be sold at the gate, cash or credit accepted. Camping passes are sold separately and there is free admission for children 12 and under.
We are so grateful to the many people who work behind the scenes to make this event as enjoyable as possible. Volunteer positions are filled on a first come first serve basis and applications can be submitted through our website by CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO ABOUT VOLUNTEERING.
Each year we roll out new editions of Seedstock merchandise to be purchased during the festival. This year's fest will certainly be no exception! We will have a selection of t-shirts, koozies, hats, and other special items like frisbees, stickers, and posters. We tend to sell out quickly, as we have a limited supply. Orders can be placed through the website and picked up at any time during the festival. If special arrangements need to be made to exchange your purchase, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. We always order a little extra of each item, so additional supplies of merch can be purchased day-of-show via cash or credit until sold out.
Of course! We do receive a high volume of requests each year and, while we can't book everyone, we'd love to hear from you and check out your band to see if it's a fit! Please CLICK HERE to submit online.
Food can be purchased in the concessions tent and will be available throughout the day. This is a BYOB event, no alcohol will be sold. Only attendees 21 years of age or older will be allowed to possess or consume alcohol on site and security will strictly enforce this in the parking area and throughout the festival grounds.
NO GLASS PLEASE! Regardless of what you decide to bring, we ask that you leave any glass containers at home. After the festival each year we collect all the recyclables with deposits and donate them to the Cortland Youth Bureau for their music program. So far we have raised well over $1000 to put instruments in the hands of our youth through this effort. The kind folks whose efforts make this contribution happen would like to ask that when making the decision on whether to buy cans or bottles that you purchase cans. Glass bottles are much more difficult to work with and pose too much of a hazard if they break. Our security team will be at the check-in table to help enforce the no-glass policy this year.
YES! We want people of all ages to feel welcome and have a great time, especially the young ones. So, if you're wondering if your kids are welcome, consider this their formal invitation. We want the kids to have a great time listening to great local bands enjoying the day. Parents or guardians must accompany children 16 years of age and younger and don't forget kids 12 and under receive free admission!
No pets please. As much as we all love our four-legged friends, we ask that you leave them at home, for their safety and for the safety of attendees. Only service animals will be allowed.
The parking areas are extremely limited. We ask that if you are able to carpool please do!! There are also numerous taxi companies on call throughout the day and the Red Jug Pub's van is a great option for grabbing a pint and a ride from downtown Cortland before or after the festivities.
The address of Seedstock is 3336 Route 215 Cortland, NY 13045. Look for signs when coming up the hill. Parking will be on the same side of the road as the festival.
We will have taxi cab #'s and the Red Jug van for you if you find yourselves unable to safely drive home. So please be responsible and leave your cars here overnight while you enjoy yourself and call a taxi or find a designated driver home.
Camping passes will be limited and sold on a first-come first-serve basis. More information on camping rules and regulations can be found on the "ABOUT" page of this website by clicking HERE.
Yep! While you're probably not going to see "Coca-Cola presents Seedstock" anytime soon, we do proudly partner with a wide variety of local businesses and organizations by offering a variety of sponsorship opportunities. We're always looking for new and creative ways to co-promote each other and help strengthen our community while helping keep the cost of Seedstock tickets about half the price of comparable music festivals in the area.
